Shared Commitments and Responsibilities

Daily/Weekly

  • Maintain a Learning Log
  • Work in Writing Response Groups
  • Read professional publications
  • Discuss theory, research, and practice
  • Challenge teaching practices
  • Examine State Standards, assessment mandates, and proscribed curriculum
  • Work independently and in groups on publications and presentations
  • Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to participate
  • Take and post eMinutes and participate in ISI Tech forums
  • Contribute to weekly potlucks
  • Serve on one committee: Morning Social, Potluck, Afternoon Housekeeping

Publications and Presentations
  • Complete and submit one or more Teacher Inquiry paper(s) to RWP eAnthology
  • Develop and present a Teaching Workshop during the ISI
  • Complete a Research Analysis or Research Action Project with Bibliography (due at the Spring Conference in March/April 2011) OR participate in Spring Conference Committee (with revised workshop presentation at Spring Conference) OR implement a Professional Learning Community at your school site.
