Shiite is an excellent word; I should use it more! Actually, folks have a nice array of profane favorites in this section. I'm impressed--and wonder what that says about me. :-)

My mother use to say shiite instead of shit. When we were teenagers, we would say just say it MOM! But I find myself using it often.

Hear, hear on your first #4, Jessica. Talking with a mouth full of food really gets to me, too. Those habits were seriously discouraged in my childhood home, so now I'm seriously sensitized to them. Unfortunately, I'm now so sensitized that I have to leave the room when the cat's eating.
