I go by Molly Wasko now, but I used to be Molly Alles.

Presently I have a full time 4th grade position at Pacific Union School for the 2010-2011 school year. This is the first time in 5 years of teaching that I know what and where I am going to teach going into the summer. Over the past 5 years I have worked in three different districts and taught 3rd and 4th grade, 6th and 8th grade science, and 7th and 8th grade art and career education. It has been a wild ride that has expanded my view of being an educator immensely. I am really looking forward to this next year!

Stefanie put the bug in my ear about the RWP Summer Institute this last year and I was convinced it was exactly what I needed to do this summer to rejuvenate my outlook after the last couple of hard assignments.

Well, I would say I can use a computer and other electronic devices in the technology world. I would also say that I have been a technophobe that is slowly coming around to tools like facebook, blogs, and Delicious. But I like to continue to think of them and use them as only tools, not past times or hobbies. I would much rather be outside one a hike learning about my world by being in it, than in front of a computer. But when it comes to using technology in my classroom or for my instruction I am all for it! Just give me the money to buy what I need!

3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually, or emotionally? The great outdoors
   
4. What turns you off? litter
   
5. What is your favorite curse word? Mother of God!!!!
   
6. What sound or noise do you love? Rivers, creeks, rain, and the ocean
   
7. What sound or noise do you hate? My husband's hard core records after a long day at school.
   
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Either an Animal Control Officer or a Park Naturalist or Interpreter
   
9. What profession would you not like to do? Office work, anything that consists of a cubicle and a computer in a room with limited natural light.
   
10. What is your favorite television show? Parks and Rec, Thursday nights on NBC, I think.
11. What is the best pet you ever had? My dog Chyanne, she is 16 years old and has been by my side since she showed up at my parent's property in Trinity County at the age of 3 . She has gone everywhere with me, and has always been my sounding board and my adventure copilot. She is an amazing being that has filled my life with calm, confident, and hilarious moments.
